Integrative Adventure Park

Looking Hearing — Smelling — Feeling

The integrative adventure park has come to life through a project carried out at a high-school, STVBKJ and MOSAIK, under the direction of architect Margit Schwarz. The park is located on the premises of MOSAIK, a former monastery complex.
The integrative adventure park is more than a playground - in addition to the normal facilities of a conventional playground it offers places of stimulatio, recreation and relaxation, of playing and of taking the environment in with every sense.

The trail of senses winds through the precincts, it connects different areas and with its natural surface is a challenge to wheel-chair patients, it offers tremendous experiences for the ear, the nose, the palate, and the hands, and it sparks imagination.
The light gate signifies the start, departure and meeting point. I can climb it, look inside from outside and outside from inside, it is a tunnel, a cave with a glass roof, one can see a rainbow here…
The stage has room for theatre-playing, music bands and different kinds of performances and events. There is a summer-house to rest and to converse with each other, a sandpit to dig, play with the sand and feel and form mud, make sand structures. Zones for stimulation of motion, the ball game ground or the swings, the slides or the rock chair seesaw, alternate with resting and withdrawing zones where the child can become aware of himself. Sound instruments which the child can use himself or listen to when played by others, a feeling trail, where different sensations can be felt and learned on the ground are further stimuli on this recreation ground for everybody.
